In an endeavor to sensitize the communities to lead an enviro-friendly lifestyle TREE Craze Foundation appeared at various community forums and gatherings and participated actively.
Ganga Utsav 2019
Ganga Utsav 2019 was organized on 4th of November 2019 to generate awareness and enhance public participation for the success and sustainability of efforts to rejuvenate Ganga. The activities planned, hence, has been designed to increase awareness through fun and creative activities and also to showcase the efforts of National Mission for Clean Ganga, German Development Cooperation, and other partners. It was co-organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga, Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH or GIZ, and TREE Craze Foundation. Figure 1 gives details of the various activities identified which are also listed below:

Ganga Quest, the first online quiz on Ganga was conducted by National Mission for Clean Ganga and TREE Craze Foundation in April 2019 which motivated thousands to initiate a journey of knowledge, to know more about their national river, Mother Ganga. During Ganga Utsav, Mini Ganga Quest was organized by TREE Craze Foundation to share the experience live, conducted by Shashank Malik, renowned Quizmaster, with experience of Yahoo World Search Championship & Times NIE Quiz. The quiz was conducted thrice on the central stage with three exciting rounds including a round on emojis which was enjoyed by one and all. The thrilling experience with buzzers and rapid-fire round was equally enjoyed by the participants. Students of Mother’s Global School, students of 20 schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan located in Delhi, and other schools that participated in Ganga Utsav took great interest in the Live Ganga Quest and through an interesting format of a quiz, got more knowledge about river Ganga and Namami Gange Programme.
Waste Upcycling Workshop - 'Make and Take'
TREE Craze Foundation also conducted a waste upcycling workshop during Ganga Utsav 2019 where the waste that they collect during ‘Meri Yamuna Mere Ghat’ clean up drives was upcycled and beautifully displayed in their stalls. The participants of the waste upcycling workshop could choose what they want to want to make from the displayed products, and after making it on the spot under the guidance of our instructors, they could take it to their home. Different age groups participated in the workshop and it was enjoyed by all ages – especially women and children.
Diwali Mela at IGNOU University Campus
TCF set up a stall at the Diwali Mela at IGNOU University Campus, New Delhi on 25th October 2019 with some games which interestingly communicated ways through which one could make little lifestyle changes like segregating solid waste and composting at home, in order to live in harmony with nature. The approach was widely appreciated and liked by the visitors.
