TREE Craze Foundation was awarded with an appreciation certificate by Sh. G. Asok Kumar, Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga during Ganga Utsav 2022 felicitated at Major Gyan Chand Stadium, New Delhi on 4th November,2022.
The day is popularly celebrated as River Festival every year and team TCF is very proud of being recognized yet again for our contribution to river rejuvenation initiatives.
TREE Craze Foundation has received awards and recognition for its program Ganga Quest, STEER, and Meri Yamuna Mere Ghat from esteemed organizations such as National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Noida Authority, and Water Digest. Some of the awards are listed below:
TREE Craze Foundation has been conferred with ‘BEST WATER NGO- WATER EDUCATION’ prestigious award by honourable Minister of Jal Shakti at the Water Digest’s Water Awards 2019-2020.
Water Digest Water Awards (WDWA) is India’s preceding and one of the most illustrious platforms to honor and appreciate outstanding and exceptional environmental initiatives and achievements.
As the country’s first Environmental Awards, WDWA were conceived with a vision to awaken the “Eco-consciousness” in Indian industries and society as a whole.
Water Digest Water Awards were set-up in the year 2006 to honor distinguished work carried out by various companies/NGOs/Individuals in order to treat/ recycle & conserve water. The award is supported by UNESCO. In the past, the award has been conferred upon organizations like ITC Limited, Eureka Forbes, NHPC, Grundfos, Pepsico, Hindustan Unilever, Philips, ITT, Ion Exchange, Pentair, Essar Steel etc. The award is judged by an eminent jury panel with members from UNESCO, TERI, WASH Institute, NEERI & Shri Ram Institute. The awards are witnessed by millions of Indians and are telecasted on channels of repute like ET NOW, NDTV or CNBC.
TREE Craze Foundation has been conferred with ‘BEST WATER NGO- WATER EDUCATION – PROMOTING JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN’. This category was for an NGO, which has excelled in educating & enlightening societies and regions on water conservation and recycling. The criteria for selection of winners included Spreading Technological Awareness and Technological Innovativeness, impact on society, and environmental benefits.
TREE Craze Foundation’s online bilingual quiz – Ganga Quest, Mobile app to calculate water footprint was widely appreciated as it exhibited technological awareness and innovativeness, whereas its campaign ‘Meri Yamuna Mere Ghat’ aimed at improving people-river connect, program STEER which sensitized school children for water conservation, waste upcycling, waste segregation, and composting; scored high for impact on society. The plantation drives and cleaner ghats also achieved environmental benefits making TREE Craze Foundation a winner.
The awards were announced in December 2020 where Minister of Jal Shakti conferred TREE Craze Foundation with the prestigious award.
Ms Bhawna Badola, CEO of TREE Craze Foundation, was felicitated as ‘Swachchta Satark Nagrik’ by Noida Authority for conducting clean-up drives at the ghats of river Yamuna in Noida.
Noida Authority organized Swachchta Protsahan Samaroh on 4th of January 2021 where under the chairmanship of CEO, Noida Authority, Ms Ritu Maheshwari, all those were honored who contributed their best in Noida’s cleanliness campaigns. Several sanitation workers, aware citizens, self-help groups, CSRs, start-ups/entrepreneurs who are doing exemplary work in the field of swachchta. Ms Bhawna Badola, CEO of TREE Craze Foundation, was also felicitated as ‘Swachchta Satark Nagrik’ for conducting clean-up drives at the ghats of river Yamuna in Noida.
On several occasions, National Mission for Clean Ganga has appreciated TREE Craze Foundation’s work to improve people-river connect and also improving citizen’s engagement in Namami Gange program.
TCF first received recognition from NMCG on World Environment Day 2019 for organizing Ganga Quest 2019 and the award was conferred to us by Hon’ble Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. On 2nd of Oct, 2019, NMCG recognized TCF’s effort to improve people-river connect through our program Meri Yamuna Mere Ghat and conferred to us a certificate of appreciation for our committed voluntary efforts towards clean-up of Yamuna Ghats. In 2020, we were also given recognition for the training given on the Geographical Information System (GIS) during Ganga Utsav 2019 to Kendriya Vidyalaya students on the occasion of Online Story Map Competition. This was organized by us under our STEER program.
